DECEMBER CARD CRAFTING WORKSHOP AND PARTY

We had a wonderful turnout for our last holiday card and Corky presented a beautiful design. Thank you Corky. Our new sign up sheet for using the machines worked much more smoothly than how we operated in the past. We will keep the sign up sheet. Everyone had a turn at die cutting and stamping.

Our meeting on December 13th will be our holiday party and workshop. I was able to get a permit to meet at 12:30 just for this one time. We will start with a pot luck lunch. I am asking for people to come with lunch food. I would also like to know who plans to attend. Please let me know what you plan to bring, so we don't have a dozen potato salads. I plan to bring sandwiches cut in quarters. Also please write a card and place by your dish if you have allergens or gluten in your food [nuts, fish, sesame, wheat, etc]. The club is supplying the tableware.

Kathy and I will be giving the program. We are supplying the cardstock and die. All you need is the heavy duty two sided tape that comes in the orange roll, scissors, ribbon and embellishments. There will be one per person, based on 20 people. We will be making mini holiday boxes.

We will also have a holiday swap or sale. Any dies, punches, stamps, you would like to re-home.

We will be collecting $1 in exact amount, please.
Thank you all

NOVEMBER 22 WORKSHOP 3:30PM

Thank you Sandy for the lovely Christmas cards presentation.

Our next workshop is being given to us by Corky. She has sent me the list of supplies below:

Pine Cone Christmas Card
Base Cardstock in dark green – 4 ¼ X 11, scored and folded
in half to form one top-fold card
                               measuring 4 ¼  X 5 ½ (tent style)
 Next Layer in gold metallic – 5 ¼ X 4
Next layer in Ivory – 5 X 3 ¾
One piece of Ivory cardstock 5 X 4 for inside message
Small pieces of cardstock in dark green, light green, brown, metallic
for cutting pine cones and greenery
Small piece of Ivory ribbon for bow
I will have the stamps and stamp pads for the greenery
I do not have the sentiment shown on the sample, you will have to supply
your own.  If you also want to emboss it you will need to bring Verasmark,
embossing powder, and heat tool.
The base cardstock would also look good in dark brown with brown
Pine cones.  Let the creative juices flow!

The club also has red and green ink pads. Don't forget to bring your usual supply kit.

Don't forget to bring $1.00 in exact change. This will be going towards buying paper and plastic ware items for our holiday party on December 13. Thank you.

IMPORTANT INFO

Hi Crafters

I will be posting info about our next project shortly. However, there is important information to share. We are having some issues with damage. No one is being called out but when we have a large turnout, there are also issues.
This is how we are going to solve them:

Dies, embossing folders, punches etc are to be used to make items for the card that is being presented. The equipment is not for people to make multiples to take home. These items can be damaged and worn out quickly, at the expense of the gracious presenter.

When you arrive to the workshop please put your name on the attendance sheet along with your $1.00 in the envelope. You will be called up to use the equipment one or two at a time at the discretion of the presenter, and in order of your name on the list. If you are not able to stay and must leave early, please let the presenter know and we will try and accommodate you. If you know ahead of time, please contact me and we can see if there is another way to help you.

Thank you all for your understanding.

Jeanette
