Thank you Kathy for the fun workshop presentation of holiday gift tags. We also had wonderful food for our holiday party.

Our next time together is December 28th at 3:30pm. We will not have a presenter for that day but we are going to work on our own projects.

Wishing everyone a season of peace and a healthy new year.

NOVEMBER 23 3:00PM

Diane did a great job presenting the easy card design, which was good because  we had a few newcomers for the first time. Our workshop on the 23rd will be for socializing and working on our own cards. I'll be working on my holiday cards. We are also inviting anyone to share their leftovers from TG. See you then.

NOVEMBER WORKSHOPS

We had a nice turnout for the airplane card, with three new visitors. Everyone liked this more challenging design. My thanks to Sandy for helping out. Also welcome back snowbirds, who are starting to return.

November is a little different. The forth Friday is the day after Thanksgiving, so we will be working on our own projects and share a social time at 3:30PM.

The second Friday is at 1PM and Diane is our presenter. Diane is supplying all the paper, cardstock, ribbon, tag, ink, and stamps, at no cost. The only thing you need to bring is your tape runner and pop dots. See you on November 9th.

OCTOBER 12 WORKSHOP

Our next workshop is on October 12th. Please note that there is no workshop on September 28th. Please read the blog below this post to see more important information. Thank you.

Patricia Brown

is our next presenter for October 12th. This will be at 1PM. Her info, for what you need to bring, is as follows:

Double embossing requires cardboard mats, silicone mats and a Big Kick, cuttlebug, etc.
Bring multipurpose platform, cutting plates, and any dies you may wish to try.

If you want to make a mat, bring cardboard similar to cardboard in the back of DSP paper, or similar.

You will need tombow glue, cardstock, embossing folders and dies.  I will bring some as well.

I [Pat] will have a variety of samples to show you as well.

If you have the new Big Shot embossing mats, bring them as you can use them instead of the cardboard mats.

No fee for this workshop. Our club is looking forward to this double embossing technique.

Upcoming Workshops

The recreation department is using our room for another event and we will not have our workshop on September 28th. Our next workshop is October 12th.

I attended a meeting of the club volunteers. We are not allowed to start our workshops until it is the advertised time to begin. So: 1pm or 330pm. Do not start early, please.

There are only two or three people interested in making cards the Friday after thanksgiving and the Friday after Christmas. We will meet, and anyone can join us, however there will not be a program. We will just work together on our own projects.

I hope things cool off by our October meeting. Looking forward to seeing our returning snowbirds.

thanx all
Jeanette
